Coniston Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Kirby as Investment Partner.
Ben brings fourteen years of PE investment experience to the role. He joins from True, where he spent four years as a Director, leading their private equity team. Prior to this, he held a senior investment position at BGF for five years and worked in the investment teams at Goldman Sachs, Greenhill and Octopus. He has completed numerous transactions across private and listed companies.
Coniston had the final close of its maiden fund in March at the hard cap of £40m, surpassing its target of £30m. Coniston has backed the MBOs of Masterfix, a leading London property maintenance company, and Harvey Jones, a bespoke kitchen designer and manufacturer. The team anticipates making a third investment shortly.
The new hire reflects Coniston’s strong pipeline and growing presence in the small cap MBO market. Coniston continues to focus on the underserved small-cap MBO market, investing up to £7m into UK SMEs with profits greater than £500k.
